Ronald Parker an all-around athlete from Inkster, Michigan who started playing football only in middle school in the seventh grade at the age of only 12 for the Tomlinson Tigers. In

middle school as a Tomlinson Tigers, he started off as center on the offensive line and starting defensive line. His school at that time only allowed you to be in the seventh grade to play. Parker has always had the passion for the game of football. He would always be out playing football out in his neighborhood. Going on to his fourth season in football now, Parker currently plays for his high school football team the Robichaud Bulldogs. He starts play as running back and a linebacker.  Ronald Parker has also a background in other sports, in martial arts and boxing. These are a few sports that made him who he is today.

As we discover more about who Ronald Parker is, he not only excels in football. He thrives in other sports also. Fun fact, Ronald Parker was state champ three years in a row in his division in martial arts. Also last summer he got the chance to attend an FBU (Football University) regional camp in Columbus, Ohio. He did exceptional enough job to impress at the regional combines to earn an invite to their Top Gun showcase. In which he showed amazing skills and took it all in as an incredible experience to put in his ongoing football career.

When you look at Parker`s playing style as a football player, he has a style of all about breaking down his opponents through skills and technique. If he has to get physical in a game, he will. The question was posed to Parker on what he would consider his strengths are as a football player; his response would be “My strengths would be technique, mental discipline, heart and my confidence, belief in the team.”

An athlete usually has important influences to look to in sports. It does not matter what sports they come from. For Ronald Parker, his influential figures are Bruce Lee, Manny Pacquiao and Colin Kapernick. Bruce Lee and Manny Pacquiao have nothing to do with football, but he loves their philosophy. They always stressed upon, always doing your best, never stop testing yourself and on sportsmanship. As does Colin Kapernick he lives by that philosophy too and Parker really likes his playing style. Not only key influential athletes play a role for young Parker. He looks up to his brothers a lot and learn from their successes and mistakes. They were all incredible players in high school and he strives to be just like them. He also turns to his father and grandpa too for greater inspiration not only as an athlete, but molding him to who he is today.

Speaking to Parker about his future in life after high school, he would one day maybe consider in majoring in business, history or math. Those are his strong strengths in subjects currently in high school. But there are still lots of other possibilities he wouldn’t mind opening up to in considering. Ronald Parker has two years left of high school. He is expected to finish high school in 2016. It is never too early to look in to planning for the future!

For Parker, playing in college would mean a lot. It would help him towards furthering education and a sense of personal achievement that he completed yet another step towards the road to success. But for his family it would mean a lot more. With a sense of pride that he is headed towards a positive direction and just making it right for his future to be successful.

When you look for a college, usually you want to look in to a school with an exceptional educational
program, positive people and integrity. What Parker can bring to the many different colleges,
particularly in their football programs, he brings a lot of techniques, mental strength and heart. He is a type of player that can really challenge other players on the team. Growing up, Parker was always taught by his father in whatever he does, he would lead by example. That mentality has been engraved in him and he continues to carry it with him. He knows that he can bring plenty of different approaches. Learning from his failed plays and made plays in football. The level of pressure and intensity to him is different. He can take it all in. He doesn’t always challenge other players with his speed or strength, but in his technique and mental strength he does.

In college, he would love to play wherever the coaches feel his talent can contribute the most. Parker can play more than one position. In his high school they have a small team, so he is used to being played in various positions except the role of a quarterback. You never see Ronald Parker off that field.

As an athlete, there are always room for improvement. There are always desires to work on at all times. For Ronald Parker, his desire to be a little faster than he is now will be achieved. Watch out for that speed demon on the field soon!
